Big congratulations to our founder and editor, Stevie Connor, on being the first featured journalist on the Muck Rack leaderboard in 2023. Stevie is a tireless supporter of signed and unsigned artists in many genres from around the world, he writes and contributes from his base in Port Credit, which is part of the city of Mississauga in Ontario, Canada, he launched the platform three years ago, and has contributors from across Canada and in countries around the world.
The Sound Cafe has built a solid reputation as the go to place to find new music in many genres from Canada and all over the world, you'll find new music from well known established artists, and also you'll find some of the best independent artists that you probably will never have heard of, but, they are guaranteed to make you want to explore further.

Originally from Scotland, for the last 16 years Stevie has been based just outside of Toronto in the GTA. In addition to The Sound Cafe Magazine, Stevie is co-founder of Blues and Roots Radio and has written in the past for Blues and Roots Radio (Canada), Great Dark Wonder (USA), Fatea Magazine (UK) and Music World Media (Australia).
