Young country pop artist Ella Powell has been named as a rising star, already making an impressive mark within the Australian Music Industry and overseas. Ella has also been successful in numerous songwriting competitions including being a Grand Finalist in the International Songwriting Competition as well as being named the National Junior Songwriter of the Year.
Alongside the success of this single, Powell’s latest release was a huge hit across commercial radio, being played on numerous ABC Country segments aswell as being added to High Rotation, being Triple M’s feature artist of the month and gaining attention globally, with radio interviews across USA and Europe. ‘Drive’ was in the top 20 songs most streamed on Australian radio during release week as well as being the 4th most downloaded country song on Australian radio during this period.
Over the last 18 months, Ella has also released the singles ‘Paper Town’ and ‘Side Effects’, which was named on High on Country’s top 22 of 2021 alongside a number of iconic Australian artists including Morgan Evans and Keith Urban, as well as being played on radio stations both nationally and internationally. ‘Side Effects,’ was featured in dozens of blogs both on home soil and in the UK/US and Canada aswell as making an appearance on ABC’s ‘Saturday Night Country.’
