Tina Turner, born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Nutbush, Tennessee, rose from humble beginnings to become one of the most iconic figures in rock and roll. Her career began in the late 1950s when she started singing with Ike Turner's Kings of Rhythm. Renamed Tina Turner by Ike, she quickly became the star of their act. Together, they produced hits like "A Fool in Love" and "River Deep – Mountain High."

Despite their professional success, Tina's personal life was marred by Ike's abusive behaviour. In 1976, after years of suffering, Tina left Ike and embarked on a solo career. Initially struggling to regain her footing, Tina made a spectacular comeback in the 1980s with her album "Private Dancer," featuring the hit single "What's Love Got to Do with It." Her powerful voice, dynamic stage presence, and resilience turned her into a global superstar, earning her numerous awards and accolades.
