Montreal Indie-Folk Project Feathership Launches 'Peace Talks' And Reveals New Music Video

Montreal indie-folk project Feathership dazzles with the release of the official video for Dream Aloud, the focus track of new EP Peace Talks, out on all platforms via Ray-On/Believe Canada.

The video for Dream Aloud is a trip in itself, an exuberant folk-utopian tale full of over-the-top peasant dances and flying princesses, courtesy of beautiful imagery rekindled from the glory days of Soviet-era animation film (The Scarlet Flower by Lev Atamanov, The Snow Maiden by Ivan Ivanov-Vano, and The Magic Bird by Viktor Gromov).

Tant Étrange (feat. Laurence-Anne), the first single from this EP, had already made a strong impression when it was released last January:

Peace Talks EP once again showcases Jean-Philippe Sauvé’s (singer-songwriter behind the Feathership moniker) knack for catchy melodies and cinematic moods, this time exploring a range of different soundscapes on each song.

Sauvé is excited to share new material, coming to fruition after yet another inspired collaboration with fellow producer Christian Sean (Hippie Hourrah, Sofia Bel) and with a wide array of the best of the Montreal music scene: Guido del Fabbro, Laurence-Anne (member of La Sécurité and prominent Quebec artist in her own right), Jason Bajada and Mat Vezio, among others.

The new opus builds on the success of The West Side EP in 2020, which earned Feathership support from media and radio in Quebec, across the country and internationally (ICI Musique, Sirius XM, CBC Radio 3, France Inter).

Feathership is also presently recording a new full-length album, to be released in 2024.
