Australian Country/Bluegrass/Blues Band, Good Corn Liquor, Release Wildly Cool Roots Single 'Mid Air'

Good Corn Liquor’

"Mid Air" - The second single from Good Corn Liquor’s forthcoming EP, “The Barfly Chronicles” reflects on the impossible task of slowing down in an ever changing world and the frustration that comes with it.

Written and recorded in Nic’s bedroom in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, Mid Air is already a loved song with live audiences that gets listeners moving on a journey through the heart of Americana against the backdrop of a swirling psychedelic soundscape.

Originally forming from childhood friendships, Good Corn Liquor have been playing music together since their early teens and Ben, Nick and Murph have performed over 800 shows together.

Good Corn Liquor started by accident and quickly evolved into a sought-after live act. Joined by a talented cast of friends, the band effortlessly blends country, blues and bluegrass and have been entertaining crowds across Australia since 2011 with their honest and fun approach to performance.

Good Corn Liquor are a country, bluegrass & blues band hailing from Gunnedah NSW.

They have performed at festivals such as Dashville Skyline, BMUP, Nimbin Roots, Butter Factory Blues and Roots, Sydney Blues & Roots, Newcastle Blues & Roots, Friends & Relatives as well as at their own flagship event, CORNFEST! In January 2024 the band played their biggest show to date at Tamworth Country Music with over 300 tickets sold.

Originally forming from childhood friendships, Good Corn Liquor would play well over 500 shows between 2011 - 2015 all across Australia, including tours of NSW, QLD, NT and SA whilst also recording and releasing 2 studio EPs.

In 2015, while on tour, the band was involved in a head on collision which took the life of their lead singer, Stu McKenzie and seriously injured other members of the band. From here on out the boys settled into recovery ensuring that they could, one day, return to the stage like old times.

Returning in 2021 to a sold-out show at The Stag & Hunter in Newcastle, the bands rebirth had commenced and has been climbing since. Good Corn Liquor has performed with and shared the stage with some of Australia's finest including; Tex Perkins, Dog Trumpet, The Snowdroppers, Andy Golledge, Dragon, Shane Nicholson, Adam Eckersley and Kingswood.

Good Corn Liquor's love for music and passion for playing is infectious, entertaining, and heartfelt and will always leave you wanting more!
