NOAH KAHAN
Noah Kahan is an American singer-songwriter, he broke through in 2017 and joined Republic Records. His single "Hurt Somebody" achieved gold status in the States. His debut album, Busyhead dropped in 2019 and within 5 years, two more albums followed. I was/I Am in 2021 and Stick Season in 2022, the second of which went on to be a breakthrough album and his nomination for the 2023 Grammy award for the Best New Artist.
In our generation today, Kahan opens up about his struggles with mental health, his popularity is a sure sign of the times and what the youth are longing for. Indie folk is becoming more mainstream, Kahan feels he's the right person for the right time.
Noah unravels the taboo of the mental health initiative with The Busyhead Project. Noah donated a portion of every ticket sold from his 2023 tour to the project and local organizations on the road.

The Sound Cafe's Jo Louks & Stevie Connor.
"My collection of K-TELS playing on my portable candle record player is where my relationship with and love for music of all genres began. It continued throughout my life, from going to concerts through to my more recent luck in being involved in an album production, from studio recording to mastering. WOW! What an experience, and from it I've gained an even greater respect and appreciation for what it takes to make great music!
Couple that with my air guitar acumen, and that of course makes me a consummate professional in bringing 'Jo's Picks Of The Month' to you.
All kidding aside my repertoire of songs is vast and what an honour it is to share my picks with the readers of The Sound Cafe Magazine!" - Jo.
